Controlling security policies in a distributed environment

چکیده
This paper presents a type system to control the migration of codebetween nodes in a concurrent distributed framework, using Dπ. Weexpress resource policies with types and enforce them via a type sys-tem. Sites are organised hierarchically in subnetworks that share thesame security policies, statically specified by a network administrator. The type system guarantees that, at runtime, there are no securitypolicies violations.

An Autonomic Security Monitor for Distributed Operating Systems - (Invited Paper)
This paper presents an autonomic system for the monitoring of security-relevant information in a Grid-based operating system. The system implements rule-based policies using Java Drools. Policies are capable of controlling the system environment based on changes in levels of CPU/memory usage, accesses to system resources, detection of abnormal behaviour such as DDos attacks.

In today's eld of distributed architectures there is a need for environments allowing the easy development of applications consisting of heterogeneous software modules and running on heterogeneous hardware platforms. From the security point of view, the challenge for such environments is to permit the interop-eration between applications specifying diierent, possibly inconsistent security polic...

متن کاملSecurity policies for distributed systems
A security policy specifies a security property as the maximal information flow. A distributed system composed of interacting processes implicitly defines an intransitive security policy by repudiating direct information flow between processes that do not exchange messages directly. We show that implicitly defined security policies in distributed systems are enforced, provided that processes ru...
متن کاملControlling Usage in Business Process Workflows through Fine-Grained Security Policies
We propose a language for expressing fine-grained security policies for controlling orchestrated business processes modelled as a BPEL workflow. Our policies are expressed as a process algebra that permits a BPEL activity, denies it or force-terminates it. The outcome is evaluates with compensation contexts. Finally, we give an example of these policies in a distributed map processing scenario ...
